I'm a pencil artist working in graphite pencil, coloured pencil and pastel.
I spent many years producing commissioned portraits of pets and people based on photographs provided by clients as far afield as Singapore, Australia, and the USA.
In addition I unashamedly used my art as an excuse to take exotic holidays off the beaten track in India, Malaysia and Kenya in search of wildlife and human subjects for exhibition entries. This is now my main focus.
Having a large source of wonderful reference photographs (not to mention the memories of taking them) I'm pleased to have achieved success exhibiting with the Society of Feline Artists, The Wildlife Artists' Society International, the National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists, Canterbury Art Society, Made in Whitstable creative group and the UK Coloured Pencil Society, with whom I was awarded Gold Signature status for having had work juried into their annual International Open Exhibitions for fourteen years.
Although I'm now retired from active commission work I still draw and I'm always looking for pictures which take my fancy so it's always worth getting in touch.
